The purpose of this ministry is to nurture children’s faith in Christ. We urge them to have a curiosity for God’s word and to have hearts for mission in serving others.
“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.” Deuteronomy 6:4-7
Children begin in the sanctuary with their families so they can experience worship with the gathered congregation. Then, following the children’s sermon, led by one of the Pastors, they leave together for their own children’s worship service that is partly led by the children themselves. Activities focus on worship skills, such as learning the Lord’s Prayer and reviewing/completing a worksheet that is compatible with the pastor’s sermon.
